Relationship Manager - Full Time

St. Mary's Child Center is seeking a full time Relationship Manager to expand our team. The individual will work as a member of the development team; participate in cultivation and stewardship activities, grant writing and management, written and virtual campaigns and volunteer management to effectively and efficiently carrying out responsibilities of the department in order to raise money. This team member will be responsible for a variety of tasks and hold an essential role in the department to help build donor relationships. St. Mary’s Child Center mission is to impact pre-school children, who come from poverty, with high quality learning experiences that will transition into a foundation for lifelong success. We offer two initiatives that are designed to impact school readiness: the Preschool Program and the Educational Outreach Program.

Position Duties:

• Manage donor stewardship and donor cultivation efforts
• Responsible for entering information into eTapestry, Delivra and Greater Giving as well as producing specialized reports and materials
• Responsible for grant preparation, submission and management
• Increase community awareness of St. Mary’s mission through participation at Community Fairs and Groups (includes requests for speaking at community group meetings)
• Organize volunteer activities both preparation prior and the day of coordination
• Maintain organization website, classroom blogs on website, monthly newsletter and social media accounts
• Designs and implements all agency printed, verbal and virtual marketing materials
• Responsible for the annual direct mail campaign and virtual campaign
• Responsible for notices and written minutes of board committees
• Assists with the preschool Christmas sponsorship program
• Participates in activities of the Development Department and provides positive support for the Board of Directors

Position Qualifications:

  • Success in working independently, working as a team member, managing time, handling multiple responsibilities, following instructions, problem solving, bring proactive and setting priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to organize large amounts of information, accuracy and attention to details
  • Experience with donor based software, desktop publishing and word processing
  • Ability to understand the needs, share the mission and programs of St. Mary's Child Center through presentations to individuals and groups
  • Availability to work occasional nights/weekends to support events, committee meetings, etc. 
  • Acceptance of the beliefs and ways of work of the St. Mary's Child Center
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality is required
  • The ability to get along well with others and bring your joy to work

Office and Development Assistant - Full Time

St. Mary's Child Center is seeking a full time Office and Development Assistant to provide assistance to the office and development department in effectively and efficiently carrying out daily responsibilities of the organization. This team member will be responsible for a variety of tasks and hold an important role in the departments. St. Mary’s Child Center mission is to impact pre-school children, who come from poverty, with high quality learning experiences that will transition into a foundation for lifelong success. We offer two initiatives that are designed to impact school readiness: the Preschool Program and the Educational Outreach Program.

Position Duties:

Front Offices:

• Oversee office personnel, training and scheduling
• Assign tasks to front office personnel and ensuring their completion.
• Assist Executive Director with calendar, reports, presentation materials, as needed
• Keep admin/board room/visitor calendar
• Provide information to secretaries so they can communicate with families regarding attendance, immunizations, calendars, parent handbooks, etc.
• Substitute for front office staff at both Thompson and if necessary at Gilliatte
• Assist Controller by entering invoices into the accounting system
• Manage outreach operations (research, scheduling events, seminar preparation, sending out brochures and notices, keeping spread sheets, billing, etc.)
• Manage travel for professional development opportunities

Development:

• Responsible for entering information into eTapestry, Delivra and Greater Giving
• Accountable for maintaining accuracy, accessibility, confidentiality of files, correspondence, and records
• Accountable for development thank you letters to be completed within 48 hrs
• Provide support for special events including item follow up and pick up, reservation contacts, etc.
• Organize in-kind and item donations for distribution
• Coordinate meeting preparation (i.e. confirm, food, paperwork, set-up, etc.)
• Responsible for research (project, grant, major gifts, laws, items, resources, etc)
• Coordinate departmental mailings by preparing correspondence, preparing/printing labels, assembling materials and mailing
• Assist with the preschool Christmas sponsorship program
• Participate in activities of the Development Department and provides positive support for the Board of Directors

Qualifications & Experience:              

  • Success in working independently, working as a team member, managing time, handling multiple responsibilities, following instructions and setting priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to organize large amounts of information, accuracy and attention to details
  • Experience with donor based software, desktop publishing and word processing

Starting salary for Part-time Cook - $11.50/hour

  • Hours are 8:00AM – 1:30PM (flexible)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass drug and background screenings
  • Be able to lift 50lbs
  • Be able to be on your feet for a long period of time
