The project we are working on right now is all about St. Anthony's, the church that we go to. We have visited several times to see what we like about the church and what we know about the church. The kids really like the stained-glass windows, and they like the baptismal water. Some of our students can tell us that Jesus died on the cross and rose again to save them. We are also learning bible songs and bible stories so that we can share them with our families.
We went on a “bear hunt” early this month following along with Steve & Greg’s famous song “Going on a Bear Hunt.” Our students have been interested in bears ever since! We have been studying what they eat and have been searching for bears in our outdoor spaces. Reading about our bears we found out that they eat berries and yellow flowers, so we have been collecting bear food in our play yard.
We had a big storm and went outside to check on our tree. We saw that some had big branches fall off and we discovered a tree that was only a stump. Our group determined that bear must have knocked down the tree! More excitement to come as we continue our bear exploration!
The adventures are endless and new every day! We are excited to explore our environments!
Painting has been a highlight in our classroom. The children ask to paint on a regular basis and are making beautiful creations!
